Salesman Pete

This is a great short from Marc Bouyer, Max Loubaresse and Anthony Vivien. I remember seeing the teaser trailer for it and loving it. Now that I've seen the whole thing I've quenched that thirst for more! Great film, great style and pacing. Very fun to watch!

The Story of Danny and Annie

I found this over at http://lineboil.com/. Its animated by the Rauch Brothers.

Danny & Annie from StoryCorps on Vimeo.

I was so moved by this entire thing. I was at work suppressing tears after seeing this. There's a lot poeple could take away from this story. How short and precious life is, how important love is be it from a girlfriend, family member or in this case husband and wife. How even though your life is going great, it could end at any moment. The affection shared by Danny and Annie, even though it was portrayed in a cartoon, was real. You could tell in their voices how much one cared for the other and how happy a life they've had together. This story between husband and life has knocked me on my ass and taught me the importance of happiness and to never stop enjoying life.

Thanks for reading.

Well folks, for those of you still stopping by... HI! I've got big news!
I'm now enrolled in Animation Mentor and will be starting at the end of September! I'm extremely excited to start and feel very lucky to be in the state of my life where I can attend school and work at the same time. I'll be fine tuning my skills while taking the course, and I'll be meeting new and exciting people through AM that I can talk all about animation with! I'll be using the site as an online Journal during my adventures within! Wish me luck!

Awesome Drummer!

Frankie sad? Angry? Confused....

This makes me both angry and sad all at the same time. When will all this creative drought of remakes and prequels end.....

Cartoon Brew Posted this today

Director Brett Ratner (Rush Hour, X-Men: The Last Stand) is planning a live-action version of Snow White in 3-D. Ratner isn’t involved with Disney and he wants to make sure everybody knows it’s going to be a lot better than that crusty fuddy-duddy film that Walt made:

“This is not your grandfather’s Snow White. Melisa went back to the 500 year old folk tale and put in some of the things that were missing from Walt Disney’s film. His dwarves were miners, and here they are robbers. There is also a dragon that was in the original folk tale. Walt made one of the great movies of all time, but ours is edgy and there is more comedy. The original, made for its time, was soft compared to what we’re going to do.”

More animation fun!

Kind of a random thingy but its a slow start after not animating on paper since college. Still a lot to do but here it is so far!

Back to the roots

Well I'm almost set up the art room in my house. And really got inspired by the meindbender work and its cartoony style. So I decided its time to start animating on paper a little. Here's a WIP I started last night. Still need to tweak things but I was so excited I just wanted to post it :) I'll post my progress as often as I can :)

The guys over at Art Jumble (who I am a member of) have posted this month be a "Lost" month. Being that I haven't seen Lost since half way through season 2, all I could remember was Hurley eating the only food they had.

This is Greg!

Hey everyone, this is Greg. A Maquette I’ve been working on and off for the past year… Yeah I know a year is a long time, but this year was a busy one and I kept forgetting about him. Either way! So I finally got some time off work for the holidays and decided that this guy has been sitting around WAY to long. So ya! Meet Greg and let me know what you think!

I’m undecided weather or not I should paint him. What do you guys think?
